As island dispute heats up, Japan begins scrambling against all Fujian-based Chinese aircraft
The Japanese are getting tired of Communist Chinese aircraft flying regular missions over their territory- and they’ve vowed to intercept any and all military flights from the Fujian Province.
Rooted in brewing tensions over the Senkaku Islands, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force is now scrambling fighter patrols whenever a People’s Liberation Army Air Force flight takes off from Fujian, sending a variety of aircraft -from the venerable F-15 Eagle to the Mitsubishi F-2- out to head the CCP’s armed military wing off at the proverbial pass.
The JASDF is the most advanced military in East Asia, and has recently ordered a complement of F-35s. The F-15 remains undefeated in air-to-air combat.

According to the Japan Times, the PLAAF/PLAN J-11 fighters need only make a twenty-minute flight to the Japanese-controleld islands, a mere 380 kilometers.
In recent memory, China has sent ships through Japanese territorial waters as they pass the Senkakus, and has attempted to rename the seabed zones around the islands.
